Joe Biden & Jill Biden – Together Since 1977
Senator Joe Biden was on a blind date set up by his brother in 1975 when he met Jill Jacobs. They hit it off at once, and she would later tell her mother, “Mom, I finally met a gentleman.” Still, Joe had to propose multiple times before they finally tied the knot in 1977, with Jill becoming a loving stepmother to his sons from his first marriage. In 1981, they welcomed their daughter, Ashley.
Throughout Joe’s political journey from senator to president, his wife has been a steadfast partner, excellently balancing her role as First Lady with her career in education. Their enduring partnership is evidence of a genuine bond.
